HomeManager's AI agent answers questions about your own portfolio and helps with tasks inside HomeManager. Until now, using it meant setting up your own AI provider and API key first.
That step is now optional. Under a free promotional offer, every HomeManager organization can use the AI agent without its own provider or API key, free trial organizations included.

What You Can Ask It
The AI agent works with your organization's data inside your account. For example, you can ask:
- "Which tenants haven't paid this month?"
- "Who has the highest arrears?"
- "What's my occupancy rate across all properties?"
- "Show me maintenance requests for one of my properties."

How the Offer Works
When you open the AI agent, HomeManager shows the offer clearly (look for "Free AI offer from HomeManager") along with a counter of how many messages your organization has used this month. You always know where you stand.
A few things to know:
- A confirmed email address is required. AI is a metered feature, so confirm your email before you start.
- Your own key comes first. If you add your own API key, HomeManager uses it instead of the offer.
- It is a promotion. It may change or end at any time.
When the Offer Ends or the 500 Messages Run Out
Nothing is lost. You can keep using the AI agent by adding your own API key. HomeManager supports these providers:
- OpenAI
- Gemini
- Groq
- Anthropic
- AWS Bedrock
You can add a key whenever you like, even while the offer is running.

Is the AI agent really free?
For now, yes. HomeManager is running a free promotional offer: every organization, including those on the free trial, can send up to 500 AI messages per calendar month without setting up its own AI provider or API key. It is a promotion, and it may change or end at any time.
What happens when the offer ends or I use up my 500 messages?
You can keep using the AI agent by adding your own API key. HomeManager supports OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, Anthropic and AWS Bedrock. If you add your own key, it is always used instead of the offer.
What counts as a message?
Each message you send to the AI agent counts toward your organization's monthly allowance. HomeManager shows a counter of the messages your organization has used this month, so you can always see where you stand.
Do I need an API key?
Not to use the free offer. Without a key, the AI agent runs on the offer, powered by leading AI models on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You only need an API key if you want to use your own provider, or once the offer ends or the monthly allowance is used up.
